JL Schwieters has been a family-owned and operated company since 1980. Being raised in a family of 12, it was important to John & Leo Schwieters that their company was one with strong family values. From giving back to local organizations to offering flexibility with family situations. We have been in business for 39 years because we have a foundation built on loyalty and trust. As a result, we have grown from a 2 man crew to a team of over 350 employees.

Innovative & Efficient.

Innovation and efficiency have paved the way for JL Schwieters sucess. For instance, in an attempt to ease the work on the employees in the field, we were one of the first companies in Minnesota to prefab wall panels. A few years later, we moved into floor panels and eventually trusses.

With the investment in our employees and our operations, we have created a streamlined process to prefab building components. Manufacturing in a controlled environment has allowed us to provide quality products to every customer. We are proud to be one of the first companies in Minnesota to provide wall and floor panels. We are now able to offer full turnkey framing solutions all under one roof.

Safety Focused.

Unparalleled safety standards is also an integral component of our success. JL Schwieters is dedicated to the protection of its employees from on-the-job injuries. We want each of our employees making it home safely to their families. Framing residential and commercial jobs is no easy task.

With our inhouse safety director, we are able to teach employees about fall protection and prevent on-the-job injuries to the best of our ability. For example, in 2016 we implemented safety poles on our job sites. Safety poles have an anchor point above framers, giving them ultimate fall protection.
